How do I know I can trust the people you send to my home?

We are very particular about who we hire.

Every employee undergoes a rigorous screening process that includes extremely thorough criminal background checks. Additionally, all employees are fully insured and bonded.

Our employees are all given top-notch training to meet our demanding standards, and we regularly conduct quality inspection checks.

Trust is a vital component of our business.


Will I have any liability or need to pay any taxes if I hire a housekeeper?

No. As a professional cleaning service, we are responsible for all elements of our staff’s employment including Workman’s Compensation in the event of an injury. The only thing you ever need to worry about is how we can best serve you.


How do I get started?

It’s as easy as giving us a call!

The first thing we will do is visit your home to discuss your individual cleaning needs, and to give you a free estimate.

Together we will create a work order tailored to your specific requests, and you will be provided with a copy. This is not a contract, but merely another way to guarantee you our personalized, consistent and timely service.


How often should I have my home cleaned?

OCD Quality Cleaning offers regular housecleaning on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis.

In addition, we are available for special one-time cleans. These include move-in/move-outs, deep cleans, and occasional maintenance cleans for customers that just need a little extra help.

Our most popular visit is every two weeks, but we will schedule according to your needs.


Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes, however, you may cancel it with a two-week advanced notice in writing. You may also change the terms or reschedule a cleaning with a one-week advanced notice. 


Do I have to be home when the cleaner comes?

You do not need to be home, although of course you’re welcome to be.

Many of our customers provide us with a key to their home and, when necessary, alarm codes. We keep your keys and access information extremely secure. 


Will I always have the same house cleaner?

We want you to enjoy the kind of continuity in your service that allows you to never think twice about it. We make every effort to send the same cleaner to your home for each visit.

Our goal is to provide you with consistency no matter what; even if circumstances demand a staffing change. Every employee is extensively trained to utilize the same efficient, effective cleaning techniques.

We begin our relationship with you by visiting your home and creating a customized work order for your needs, so that you can always count on receiving the same great, personalized service to which you’re accustomed. 


What if something is my home gets damaged?

In the unfortunate event that a breakage occurs, we will promptly make every effort to have the item repaired or replaced. All employees are fully insured to guarantee the safety of your possessions. 


Do you guarantee your work?

Absolutely. We have a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy.

Our goal is to give you the best cleaning possible each time. If something is not done to your satisfaction, call us within 24 hours and we will correct it for free, or give you a credit on your next cleaning. 


How do I pay for my cleaning?

Payment is due the day the service is performed. You may pay by check, Visa, or Mastercard.

Many customers leave a check, payable to OCD Quality Cleaning, on their kitchen table or countertop. For your convenience, if you prefer paying by credit card, a number may be left on file with us to use for each cleaning. You may also call our office and pay over the phone with your credit card before we clean.

One-time cleans require a credit card payment. 


Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes we do! OCD Quality Cleanings makes a great gift, whether it’s for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, a birthday or anniversary, or even to help a friend through a difficult time. Whatever the occasion, our gift certificates can be sent straight to the recipient or to you. Call us for more information. 


What if I have a pet?

Pets are not a problem. We do need to be notified if you own pets, and we like to know their names. If you have any special requests regarding your pets, or there are any special circumstances we should be aware of, we will want this information to communicated. 


Should I tip my cleaner?

Tips for our cleaners are neither expected nor required. Leaving them a simple note letting them know how well they did will mean a lot to them. Our cleaners want to know that their work met or exceeded your expectations. However, if you do wish to leave a tip, please keep it separate from cleaning payment and place it on the kitchen counter.


What if my cleaning schedule falls on a holiday?

If your scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday, we will contact you in advance to reschedule. Our office observes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. 


Can I hire one of your cleaning professionals directly?

Our employees are not available for direct hire. A great deal of time and resources is put into hiring and training our staff. Each employee signs a contract with us agreeing not to solicit or accept direct employment from any of our customers for a period of two years from the date that employee last worked for OCD Quality Cleaning.
